I’m feeling incredibly lucky to have survived Hurricane Irma’s wrath with everything intact and no loss of electricity. Lots of rain but no flooding where I live, and some mighty winds that were downright scary, but all that remains are lots of tree branches and leaves — and that’s easy to clean up. My heart goes out to so many who are still without power, who lost their homes or a part of it, or are dealing with devastating aftermath.
But just like in so many previous disasters people will survive, they will return and begin the arduous tasks to get back to some kind of normalcy. They will reach out to their neighbors to help, they will do things they never thought they could do, they will put their lives back together and be thankful for what they still have.
I’m ready for some magical moments following all the bad news we’ve had lately. I think all we have to do is look up.

Wishing for you many days ahead filled with beautiful skies and sunsets
Glad you stayed safe and no personal property damage. What a terrible time for those folk in Irma’s path.
Thanks Barbara. Times like this always remind us of what’s really important, right? See you soon.
Suzette – I’ve also been feeling very grateful that Irma’s wrath didn’t affect us or our loved ones. The photos of the skies you posted are inspiring. I can’t wait to show you the beautiful mountain sky views when we get our house ready. ; )
I can’t wait to see them! You are going to have many spectacular sunrises and sunsets to come.
Lovely post Suzette. Yes, we are so incredibly lucky!!
Yes we are….in so many ways!
