A snow and ice storm hit Atlanta Friday night and we awoke to a beautiful landscape covered in white.
This doesn’t happen often in Georgia so when it does it’s always a big deal, especially for those who think they can go out and drive in it and then find out the hard way that they can’t. It’s only takes once to learn that lesson so those of us in the know stayed in and took advantage of a quiet day.
Since snow is a rare event for us, it always transforms everything around us into a different kind of beauty. I didn’t venture far but am sharing a few sights I thought particularly beautiful.
And then the sun came out and the icicles started to melt.
Hope all who’ve been in the storm’s path are safe and warm!
