Longing for some time to relax like this beauty in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Provence
World and domestic events, stock market ups and downs, taxes — sometimes it seems that the bad news just keeps on coming. Add to that the stresses and pressures that can ebb and flow from The J.O.B. and no wonder people start dreaming of how to use those vacation days. For those of you who have children, remember when you had a new baby and there were days that flew by and the only thing you actually got done was take a shower? And eat? It’s been a little like that lately.

So today I thought I’d share some favorite photos from recent visits to France. Seeing photos of where I’ve been or where I’d love to visit some day always perks me up and gets the flame burning to start planning the next trip. The wheels start turning to bring an itinerary to life, followed by the details of how to get from place to place — planes, trains and automobiles! — where to stay, then fun things to do and new places to explore start to fill in the blanks.

We’re having an early hint of spring in Atlanta with temperatures in the 70s…in February! As we start to shake off the cloak of winter hibernation, I hope these photos will inspire you to start making some plans to get out and explore. Whether that takes you on a walk around the block or prompts you to start making some travel plans for this year, here’s wishing you an early Bon Voyage!
Your photos take me away! It’s good to escape the day-to-day any way you can. Bon voyage!
Thank you Wanda! So much eye candy in France, right?
Always love what you post, but always want more of them!
Thanks Carol! I long for more hours in the day to spend working on Chez Suzette…I promise to increase my frequency. Thanks for reading!
So love all the pics and you know me and “blue doors”; actually doors in general:)))
Thanks! You would have to ship a container home if you saw all the doors and shutters at the brocantes!
Ok. You gave the bug. I’m on it!
Good! I’m looking forward to hearing about your next plans. Let’s go!
