Soon I’ll be returning to France for two weeks in October. I’m excited to spend time in Aix-en-Provence and explore many smaller villages throughout Provence including Saint Zacherie, Cassis, Lagnes, Saint-Remy-de-Provence, Lourmarin and more. I’ll be on the hunt for treasures for my new online shop that will be up and running soon. Now that it’s officially Fall, everyone will be preparing for the upcoming holidays so watch for posts on decorating and easy recipes for entertaining. Spring and the beginnings of the lavender buds were wonderful but I can’t wait to be in Provence for Fall!
I will be scouting the daily markets for unique and beautiful treasures, along with flavorful items from the food markets. Watch for postings about a specially curated assortment of Provençal products that will make wonderful holiday gifts and also perfect for a birthday, housewarming, Mother’s Day — or any occasion!
This trip is all about exploring, about driving through the Provençal countryside for two weeks (fingers crossed that the new GPS unit with Europe maps works without a hitch!) in search of adventures, to meet new people, and discover more of a life in Provence that has pulled me in and doesn’t want to let go. We’ll revisit some of the brocantes I’ve been to before and go in search of new ones. In France, there’s a market somewhere every day. I love that way of life, particularly for buying fresh food and eating what’s in season. For those who live in the village, it’s a communal way to catch up on what’s been happening with your friends. SO much better than texting!
Time well spent. Time with friends. Time alone.
What do you want to discover on your next adventure?
